Rally your book club, foodie friend group, office team, library, school, restaurant, or community crew for a nacho night like no other. The Totally Nachrageous Book Club Experience brings together cookbook conversation, behind-the-scenes stories, Q&A, an optional nacho competition, and virtual or select in-person visits with Alex P. Taylor, the Nacho King of Connecticut.
Got a book club, foodie friend group, office team, library group, school, restaurant, or community crew?
Let’s make it Totally Nachrageous.
To celebrate the release of my debut cookbook, Totally Nachrageous: Next-Level Nacho Recipes for Parties, Game Days & Crowd-Pleasing Fun, I’m scheduling a limited number of virtual and select in-person book club experiences after the book releases on August 25, 2026.
This is part cookbook conversation, part behind-the-scenes author visit, part nacho party, and, yes, there can absolutely be a nacho competition involved.
Gather your group and rally 15+ people to preorder Totally Nachrageous.
Then, schedule your nacho night for after the book is released and copies are in hand.
Depending on your group, location, timing, and event format, I can join virtually or, for select opportunities, in person for a visit featuring:
Cookbook conversation
Behind-the-scenes stories from the making of Totally Nachrageous
Q&A with Alex P. Taylor, the Nacho King of Connecticut
Optional nacho competition
Book signing opportunity for select in-person events
A fun, shareable night built around food, creativity, and community
The Totally Nachrageous Book Club Experience is perfect for:
Book clubs
Cookbook clubs
Foodie friend groups
Office teams
Libraries
Bookstores
Community groups
Schools and colleges
Restaurants
Corporate teams
Alumni groups
Anyone who wants to turn a cookbook discussion into a nacho party
The bigger the group, the better.
Virtual visits are a great option for groups outside Connecticut, private book clubs, office teams, and anyone who wants to make the experience easy and fun without worrying about travel or venue logistics.
A virtual visit can include a short author Q&A, behind-the-scenes cookbook conversation, and a nacho competition where I judge based on presentation, creativity, ingredient combination, name/concept, and overall nacho energy.
Since I can’t taste the nachos virtually, this is all about the look, the idea, the story, and the fun.
Select in-person visits may be available for Connecticut-based and nearby groups, depending on location, schedule, group size, venue, and event format.
In-person events work best at public or community spaces such as libraries, bookstores, schools, restaurants, offices, community rooms, or event spaces.
If food is permitted at your location, your group can make it a full nacho night. If food is not permitted, the experience can still be adapted into an author talk, cookbook conversation, Q&A, and creativity-focused program.
For select in-person events, signed books may be part of the experience.
Want to make the night even more fun?
Have your group create their best nachos.
Nachos can be judged by:
Presentation
Creativity
Ingredient combination
Name/concept
Overall nacho energy
Whether your group goes classic, fancy, nostalgic, spicy, unexpected, or completely outrageous, the goal is simple: have fun, get creative, and celebrate nachos together.
Preorders are a huge part of helping a new cookbook make an impact.
By rallying your group to preorder Totally Nachrageous, you’re not just planning a fun night. You’re helping support a Connecticut-based author, food creator, and very real nacho dream as this book launches nationally.
Every group counts. Every preorder helps. Every nacho night becomes part of the movement.|
If you have a book club, cookbook club, office team, school, library, restaurant, or community group that wants to host a Totally Nachrageous Book Club Experience, I’d love to hear from you.
